You may expand your search to another NC Community College library by using the CCLINC shared catalog (CCLINC includes the library catalogs of 44 community college libraries across North Carolina). Select the down arrow by "library" on the right side of the screen (Rockingham is the default), and select another library catalog. Select "All" to search all CCLINC member catalogs. When you find a title of interest, use the Interlibrary Loan function built into WebCat to select items for delivery to James Library. Select "Place Hold" on the left side of the screen, enter your library barcode in the user ID field, ignore the other fields, and select "Place Hold". Delivery usually takes at least a week. This service is FREE for RCC students, faculty, and staff.
If you already have citations for materials not available in the James Library or CCLINC collections, you may use the stand-alone InterLibrary Loan form to request those items. Materials usually arrive at the James Library within one week by U.S. Mail, courier, or FAX. Although an effort is made to locate materials at no charge, if the loaning library charges a fee, it will be passed on to the patron.
The library subscribes to several periodicals dealing with Early Childhood topics You can check the subject listing of periodicals page for specific titles and holdings information. Magazines, Research Journals, and newspapers are for library use only.
