Do your employees need Basic Skills Improvement?
  • work must be redone to meet standards.
  • you rely on a few competent workers to help others get the job done.
  • workers cannot be promoted because they cannot do paperwork or solve problems on the job.
  • safety memos are ignored because workers don't understand them.
  • equipment maintenance is not performed because guidelines are too difficult to read.
  • product quality and productivity suffer because employees do not check for accuracy or completeness.
  • waste or scrap is excessive because workers cannot analyze and correct a process.
  • work processes cannot benefit from TQC and SPC training because math and problem solving skills are weak.
The Basic Skills Program Staff can identify specific basic skills required for jobs, assess individual and group basic skills ability levels, and then design a customized program to meet identified goals of individual workers and the workplace as a whole.
