        APICS Certification in Production Inventory Management
APICS, the Educational Society for Resource Management, launched the Certification in Production Inventory Management (CPIM) program in 1973 to provide a common basis for individuals to assess their knowledge in the evolving field of materials management. Since then, APICS certification has become recognized around the world as a standard of professional competence in supply chain management.

The CPIM program is the strategic advantage needed in today’s world where the rate of organizational and technological change is accelerating exponentially.

The CPIM curriculum is divided into seven modules, each covering specific, in-depth aspects of production and inventory management. For each module, there is a comprehensive examination.

The program encompasses the design, operation, and control of systems for the manufacture and distribution of products and services. It tests an individuals in-depth knowledge of a variety of subjects: supply chain management, inventory management, Just-in-Time, master planning, material and capacity requirements planning, production activity control, and systems and technologies.
