The Center for Active Retirement (CAR) provides opportunities
for older adults in Rockingham County to enhance their quality of life. In addition to many activities, senior adults are welcome to make use of the other RCC facilities including the library, multimedia center, cosmetology lab, gym and walking track. The CAR strives to provide a variety of social, cultural, educational, health, physical and spiritual activities. The Center for Active Retirement seeks to encourage adults to use their experiences, education and training, and skills in ways which will help others while enriching their own lives.
