• Your webpage has changed. Where is NCLive?
On the main library webpage, go to 'Find an Article' then click on 'Search databases A-Z or by subject'. Choose either 'On Campus Access' or 'Off Campus Access'. All of the NCLive databases are listed, as is a link to the main NCLive page.
• Who can use NCLive and your other library databases?
Anyone can use NCLive and the other library databases from on campus. Due to licensing restrictions, only currently enrolled RCC curriculum students and currently employed RCC Faculty and Staff may use NCLive and other library databases from off campus.
• What is the NCLive password?
No password is required to access NCLive from on campus. From off campus, use the login and password you received in your RCC email. You must go to the main library webpage and go to 'Find an Article' then click on 'Search databases A-Z or by subject'. Next click on the button that says 'Off Campus Access' and log in.
• Why is the login procedure different now?
We are now using a proxy server to provide you with access to library databases from off campus. What this means to you is that you only have to log in once, then you have access to all library databases. No need to remember multiple logins and passwords!
Passwords are distributed each semester to your campus email account. If you lose yours, please either come by the library in person, or email us from your RCC email for a replacement.
• When I go to NCLive it only asks for one password, not a login and password like you emailed us.
You probably went directly to the NCLive webpage instead of going through the main library webpage. Go to 'Find an Article' then click on 'Search databases A-Z or by subject'. Choose either 'On Campus Access' or 'Off Campus Access'. All of the NCLive databases are listed, as is a link to the main NCLive page.
• I used the New York Times in the library. Why can't I find it on your webpage?
Our licensing agreement with the New York Times only allows on campus access. You must use the shortcut on the library computer desktops to access the New York Times.
• I can't get into Westlaw. What is the password?
Our licensing agreement with Westlaw only allows use by students currently enrolled in Business Law or Criminal Justice. Passwords are only available from your instructor or in person in the James Library.
