RCC Enrollment Services Office

Welcome to Rockingham Community College&rsquos Enrollment Services Office. Our Office includes the areas of Admissions, Student Records, and Registration.

Whether you are interested in working toward a Degree, Diploma, or Certificate, or if you are only looking to take a few college-level courses you have come to the right place. This is the place to begin your admission process.

The RCC Admission Process
Rockingham Community College has an open door admission policy for persons 18 years of age and older. The college will admit selected students between the ages of 16 and 18 or otherwise emancipated minors. Students who are enrolled in secondary schools must have the consent of the appropriate school official.

It is most helpful for you to come to Admissions to meet with one of our counselors face-to-face. They will assist you in completing the following steps and learning more about your chosen program of study.

STEP 1: Complete an RCC Application for Admission. The second page of the application asks for you to enter the specific Program Code for your chosen course of study. You must also complete the Medical History Form.

STEP 2: Request OFFICIAL transcripts.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required for admission to any curriculum program at RCC. If you completed a GED and also completed any grades higher than 8th grade, you must also provide an official high school transcript along with your GED score report. These transcripts should be issued from the school and mailed directly to RCC in a sealed envelope. If you attended any colleges or universities, official transcripts from those schools are also required. Download your Transcript Request Form here.

STEP 3: Take the placement test. RCC offers the COMPASS test in mathematics, reading, and writing. This test will determine your appropriate starting point in courses here at RCC.

Once you have completed all of these steps, you are ready to register! For more information, check out our Registering for Classes section.
