BASIC MOTORCYCLE RIDER COURSE
Motorcycle training will cover the basic fundamentals to allow you
to develop your capabilities to become a safe and responsible
motorcyclist. You will be taught how to minimize risk by using physical
and mental skills necessary in special riding situations. Each student much provide the following:

DOT approved helmet
-
Eye protection (glasses or goggles)

Full fingered gloves
-
Long sleeved shirt or jacket
-
Over the ankle footwear (not cloth or canvas)

Long, non-flare denim pants
The class will consist of 5 hours in the classroom and 15 hours on the
riding range. Motorcycles will be provided by Rockingham Community
College. Class attendance is mandatory in both parts of the training to
successfully complete the course. Class meets Friday night
6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the Bishopric Lifelong Learning Center room 106 on the RCC campus and Saturday and Sunday
from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the driving range.
Cost of this class is $150 and class registration is limited to 20
students. Payment is due within seven (7) days of registration to
confirm your space in the class. This is a self-supporting class and
there are no exemptions.
