In the fall of 2006, Rockingham Community College added men's and women's golf programs to its athletics program. "Golf in Region 10 is really growing," said Dean Myrick, RCC Athletic Director. "We want to be a part of that."

Chris Cline was named Head Golf Coach in the spring of 2008.  He also serves as assistant men's basketball coach.

RCC competes at the Division III level of the National Junior College Athletic Association and Region 10.. In addition to conference tournaments, RCC players will compete in tournaments hosted by four-year schools, allowing them to compete at a higher level.

"A student-athlete can come to RCC and receive a first-class education and, at the same time, compete in athletics at a high level," said Myrick. "You can have the best of both at one place."
