Workplace Basic Skills Program
Rockingham Community College’s Workplace Basic Skills program provides job specific basic skills training to employees of business and industry in the county. To meet new technology requirements and competitive challenges of a worldwide economy, employees must have the skills necessary to progress on the job. These basic skills include reading, computation, comprehension, critical thinking, writing, and problem solving skills. By improving basic skills related to the job, employees become more self-sufficient, have the ability to make better job decisions, and are capable of accepting new responsibilities and new skill training.
Rockingham Community College’s Workplace Basic Skills program can identify basic skill training needs specific to the job, set up appropriate basic skill training programs, and provide accurate assessment and evaluation of employee skills.
