Landscaping equipment at night

Students in this class will learn the safe and proper operation of various landscaping equipment such as mowers, tractors, skid steers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, etc.  Minor engine repair and maintenance schedules will also be taught.  Students who successfully complete this class will be prepared to work for a landscaping company, become self-employed in landscaping, or just be able to safely and properly operate and maintain his or her own landscaping equipment at home. 

Note:

When attending class, students should dress appropriately to work with dirt and machinery - gloves (preferably leather), safety glasses, hearing protection, long pants, and closed-toe shoes (boots preferred).  

Students may bring their own hearing protection, or it will be provided by the college.
