Other Industrial Technologies Programs

  • Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration

    The Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Technology curriculum provides the basic knowledge to develop skills necessary to work with residential and light commercial systems.
    Topics include mechanical refrigeration, heating and cooling theory, electricity, controls, and safety.

  • Computer Integrated Machining

    The Computer-Integrated Machining curriculum prepares students with the analytical, creative, and innovative skills necessary to take a production idea from an initial concept through design, development, and production, resulting in a finished product.

  • Electrical Systems Technology

    The Electrical Systems Technology curriculum is designed to provide training for people interested in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems found in commercial facilities.

  • General Occupational Technology

    The General Occupational Technology curriculum provides individuals with an opportunity to upgrade skills and to earn an associate degree by taking courses suited for individual occupational interests and/or needs.

    The Manufacturing Technology curriculum prepares students to use basic engineering principles and technical skills to identify and resolve production problems in the manufacture of products.

  • Mechatronics

    A course of study that prepares the students to use basic engineering principles and technical skills in developing and testing automated, servo-mechanical, and other electromechanical system. Includes instruction in prototype testing, manufacturing and operational testing, systems analysis and maintenance procedures.

  • Welding Technology

    The Welding Technology curriculum provides students with a sound understanding of the science, technology, and applications essential for successful employment in the welding and metal working industry.

Welding Technology Certificate (C50420)

Certificate

This certificate program is designed to provide individuals with entry-level competencies in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, & GTAW welding as well as in blueprint reading. Upon successful completion, graduates should be able to build weldments per specifications using multiple welding procedures. Courses within this certificate may be applied toward a diploma in Welding Technology.

Employment Outlook

Employment of welders, cutters, solderers, and brazers is projected to grow 3% from 2019 to 2029, about as fast as the average for all occupations. The nation’s aging infrastructure will require the expertise of welders, cutters, solderers, and brazers to help rebuild bridges, highways, and buildings.
