The A.A.S. Early Childhood Education degree program at Rockingham Community College has earned renewed accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
During a July 23 evening ceremony, 16 Rockingham Community College practical nursing students received their caps and pins.
Suzanne Rohrbaugh began service to Rockingham Community College this month as Vice President for Academic Affairs and comes to the college with over 20 years of experience in the NC Community College System.
Retired Rockingham Community College professors Nathan Lee Dodson and C. Michael Frazier and were recently honored at the college as professor emeritus. In addition, Robert J. Foeller received the rank Dean of Library Services Emeritus as a posthumous honor. The ceremony was held during the July 15, Board of Trustee meeting.
Both Kallam and Peach were sworn in during the July 15 board meeting.
Rockingham Community College administrators received notification from the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) that two student-athletes were selected to receive national recognition for their academic achievement.
Dr. William C. Aiken, of Clinton, has been appointed by the NC State Board of Community Colleges to serve as the interim president of Rockingham Community College. The college’s Board of Trustees began their search for an interim last month when Dr. Michael S. Helmick announced his resignation from the position.
