Student Events

The Student Government Association (SGA) is used to promote the college by representing the RCC student body and their interests, needs and concerns, and by keeping students informed about issues that affect them. The SGA also has the responsibilty of programming events such as Fall Kick-Off, Homecoming and Spring Fling. They also are responsible for the Student Activities Budget.

The SGA is made up of five offices including President, Vice-President, and three at-large representatives. They represent the student body on the College Assembly which is the recommending body to the RCC Administration.

A newly formed Special Events Committee meets to select entertainers and guest speakers to appear during lunch and /or evening break sessions. Membership on the committee is open to all curriculum students.

Elections for SGA are held during Spring Fling each year. Applications for office are available at the Student Life Office.
