Basic MIG Welding

This program introduces gas metal arc welding and flux core arc welding processes. Topics include equipment setup and fillet and groove weld with emphasis on application of GMAW and FCAW electrodes on carbon steel plate. Upon completion, students will have the knowledge base to seek employment as an entry level MIG welders. This course also prepares students to continue into the RCC Welding Technology certificate and diploma programs.
