Drawing People and Portraits

This drawing course is specially designed for students who
want to improve their drawing skills with portraits and people.
Students find this course highly rewarding in improving their

Fall Holiday Painting

This is a special course where students paint small canvases each
week with different decorative/seasonal/holiday scenes. These
are great for holiday gift-giving or to keep for yourself. This is a
fun paint class for anyone. Student supply list: Table cover, paper
towels, paper plates, water container, basic acrylic colors, basic
brushes, at least eight small canvases (any small size you’d like).

Holiday Painting Course

This course is highly anticipated every year. Each week students
create a holiday and decorative small painting to give away or
keep. Special instruction on glass painting and other specialty

Pottery Making

Learn how to design and make pottery using the potter’s wheel
and various hand-building techniques. This 48-hour course is
open to all levels and focuses on individual instruction. Students
take their ideas through the entire process – from clay processing
to glazing and, finally, the kiln. Daily demonstrations are
supplemented with handouts, slide-talks and videos. Beginners
in clay will leave with a solid foundation and understanding of
working in a cooperative pottery studio and more advanced
makers will be able to focus in and further develop their ideas.
Clay, glaze materials and firings will be provided.

Ceramic Design

Develop the skills you need to work with clay. This 96-hour
course will provide students with the skills and techniques they
need to make functional and decorative objects out of clay.
Using the potter’s wheel and various hand-building techniques,
students take their designs from clay to glazed and fired ceramic
pieces. The class also covers the essentials of ceramic glazes
and the operation of both electric and gas kilns. Individual
instruction is supplemented with daily demonstrations, slide
talks, handouts and videos. Beginners in clay will leave with a
solid foundation and understanding of the pottery studio and
more advanced makers will be able to focus in and further
develop their ideas. Clay, glaze materials and firings will be
provided.
