Cosmetology Concepts I

This course introduces basic cosmetology concepts. Topics include safety, first aid, sanitation, bacteriology, anatomy, diseases and disorders, hygiene, product knowledge, chemistry, ethics, manicures, and other related topics. Upon completion, students should be able to safely and competently apply cosmetology concepts in the salon setting. Note: The combination of COS 111AB and COS- 111BB equates to COS 111.

Agricultural Economics

This course introduces basic economic principles in agriculture. Topics include supply and demand, the role of agriculture in the economy, economic systems, and micro- and macroeconomics. Upon completion, students should be able to explain economic systems, interpret supply and demand curves, and complete cost and revenue production schedules.

Salon I

This course introduces basic salon services. Topics include scalp treatments, shampooing, rinsing, hair color, design, haircutting, permanent waving, pressing, relaxing, wigs, and other related topics. Spreadsheet

This course introduces basic spreadsheet design and development. Topics include writing formulas, using functions, enhancing spreadsheets, creating charts, and printing. Upon completion, students should be able to design and print basic spreadsheets and charts.

Three-Dimensional Design

This course introduces basic studio problems in three-dimensional visual design. Emphasis is placed on the structural elements and organizational principles as applied to mass and space. Basic Welding Processes

This course introduces basic welding and cutting. Emphasis is place on beads applied with gases, mild steel fillers, and electrodes and the capillary action of solder. Upon completion, students should be able to set up welding and oxy-fuel equipment and perform welding, brazing, and soldering processes.

Farm Business Management

This course introduces budgeting, farm analysis, production costs, business organizations, and general management principles. Topics include enterprise budgets, partial budgets, whole farm budgets, income analysis, and business organizations. Upon completion, students should be able to prepare and analyze a farm budget.

Principles of Financial Accounting

This course introduces business decision-making using accounting information systems. Emphasis is placed on analyzing, summarizing, reporting, and interpreting financial information. Basic CAD

This course introduces computer-aided drafting software for specific technologies to non-drafting majors. This course introduces computerized project management software. Topics include identifying critical paths, cost management, and problem solving. Upon completion, students should be able to plan a complete project and project time and costs accurately.

Industrial Robots

This course covers the operation of industrial robots. Topics include the classification of robots, activators, grippers, work envelopes, computer interfaces, overlapping work envelopes, installation, and programming.
