Home / RCC Student Services / Advising & Counseling / College Transfer / 36 NC Independent “Private” Colleges

The following are all the private colleges in North Carolina.

This information is provided for students who are interested in transferring to a 4-year institution. In most cases, there is a contact name for transfer students as well as some links to click on for more information. If there isn’t a contact person, call the main number and ask for a “transfer counselor” or an “admissions counselor that works with transfer students.” Contact persons and links may change over time and will be monitored; however, if you notice an error, please contact Celeste Allis at  allisc@rockinghamcc.edu  or Olivia Brookshire at  brookshireo4911@rockinghamcc.edu.

Note: ICAA is an abbreviation for Independent Comprehensive Articulation Agreement  and contains a list of “private” colleges that participate in the articulation of students from community college to private colleges.
