Plant sale announced
Apr 19, 2023Now that the danger of frost is over, it’s time to get gardens ready for the rest of spring, and summer and fall. But before you head out to the nurseries, be sure to come out for Rockingham Community College’s annual Plant Sale.
Agribusiness and Business Technologies students are holding the sale on Thursday and Friday, April 27-28 and May 4-5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Offerings include flowers, plants, herbs and more.
“We will have a greater variety this year, and will have hanging baskets with flowers, foliage plants, and some ferns,” said John Ayers, Agribusiness Technology faculty. “We will have several varieties of tomatoes, peppers and herbs.”
Students in the Agribusiness Marketing class, Farm Business Management class, and the Business Technologies Club will be involved in the sale.
Please note, only cash and checks are accepted.
RCC’s greenhouse is located at 380 Wrenn Memorial Road. If you drive past the college’s Administration, Science and Humanities buildings, you’ll get to a gigantic parking lot – the greenhouse in the far corner up a small driveway. There will be signs posted.
