Establishment of Residency
All college credit/curriculum students are classified as either in-state or out-of-state for tuition purposes. This classification is determined by the North Carolina Residency Determination Service (RDS). Applicants (with the exception of Career and College Promise dual enrolled high school students) must use RDS for residency determination prior to submitting the RCC Application for Admission. Review the RDS Reference Card for a list of information that may be required and tips on completing the residency determination interview.
Enrollment and Degree Verification
RCC partners with the National Student Clearinghouse to provide enrollment and degree verification. Employers and third party organizations should contact the National Student Clearinghouse for these verifications. The National Student Clearinghouse may also be reached by telephone at 703-742-4200.
RCC students may request an enrollment verification statement using Self-Service or in person, with valid photo identification, at the Admissions and Records Office in the Whitcomb Student Center.
