Career and College Promise is a program that allows high school students to attend classes at RCC and earn college credit transferable to all UNC System Institutions and many NC Independent Colleges and Universities, or earn college credit toward a credential, certificate or diploma in a technical career from RCC. By earning these credits while still in high school, students can get a head start on the next phase of their education and save thousands of dollars in tuition.
The College Transfer Pathway – Students may earn tuition free transferable credit toward a four year degree. The College Transfer Pathway provides opportunity to earn thirty semester hours of transfer courses, including English and mathematics, and College Transfer Success (ACA 122).

The Career Technical Pathway – Students earn tuition-free college credits toward an entry-level job credential or a certificate or diploma in a technical career. RCC offers Automation Systems, Criminal Justice Technology, Early Childhood Education and Welding Technology.

The Innovative High Schools Pathway (option only available to rising freshmen) – Students begin earning tuition-free college credits as high-school freshmen by attending the Rockingham Early College High School.
