Rockingham Community College has an open door admission policy for persons 18 years of age and older with a high school diploma or its equivalency. This means that any person who is able to profit from further formal education will be served by the college. Rockingham Community College will admit high school students or students under the age of 18 who meet specific program requirements.
Please complete the following four steps to complete the admissions process.
Complete an RCC Application for Admission.
Complete the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA).
Acquire all OFFICIAL high school/GED and college transcripts.
Come by our office in person to speak with an admissions counselor.
RCC requires all curriculum students to take placement tests, however the placement tests have no bearing on your acceptance to RCC. The tests are used to determine your appropriate starting point in courses at RCC. Official high school or college transcripts may waive one or all placement tests.
For detailed information on the placement tests, please visit our Placement Testing Page.
Appointments are not necessary, we are happy to meet with you anytime during our business hours.
