Basic Welding Processes

This beginner’s course introduces basic welding and cutting skills. Emphasis is placed on welding beads applied with gases, mild steel fillers, and electrodes and the capillary action of solder. Upon completion, students should be able to set up welding and oxy-fuel equipment and perform basic welding, brazing, and soldering processes.

Required Supplies:

Welding helmet, variable shade level 10+, welding gloves, welding jacket or long sleeve cotton button up shirt, leather boots (steel toe not required), cotton pants (i.e. jeans), cotton welding cap (optional)
