Pottery: Exploring Ceramics

CSP 7772

Develop the skills needed to work with clay. This 24-hour course provides students with the skills and techniques to make functional and decorative objects out of clay. Using the potter’s wheel and various hand building techniques, students take their designs from clay to glazed and fired ceramic pieces. Beginners in clay will leave with a solid foundation
and understanding of working in a cooperative pottery studio and more advanced makers will be able to focus in and further develop their ideas. Clay, glaze materials and firings are provided.
