Nursing Pathway Grant Available

Aug 24, 2017

If you have been displaced from your job or are considering a career change you may be eligible a nursing pathway grant to assist with the cost of becoming a certified nursing assistant (CNA).

The Northwest Piedmont Workforce Development Board in collaboration with the Piedmont Alliance for Triad Healthcare (PATH), an advisory council that advocates for and further develops the healthcare workforce, have implemented a regional certified Nursing Pathway. The purpose is to address the significant challenge to meet the employment demands of the healthcare industry.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there are not enough CNAs and nurses to fill vacancy needs emerging today through 2022.
