RCC Criminal Justice Club Travels to D.C

.

The Rockingham Community College Criminal Justice Club explored Washington, D.C. during the college’s spring break. Lead by Ken Hux, Public Safety Department Chair and Anne Wade, Associate Professor of Criminal Justice; students toured the United States Capitol, Supreme Court Building, Arlington National Cemetery, the Law Enforcement Memorial, and area monuments.

“We try to make this an annual event for our students,” said Hux. “Immersing our students in the D.C. experience is an advantage to many of students some of whom have never traveled out of North Carolina.”

Hux explained the time spent interacting with students during this criminal justice focused excursion and helping them to experience something totally new is a great experience for everyone.

The RCC Criminal Justice Club is active on campus holding several fundraisers and community service projects throughout the year.
