High School Equivalency Graduate Awarded Scholarship

Aug 3, 2017

High School Equivalency Graduate Isabella Stowe was awarded a scholarship totaling $2,228 from the Rockingham Community College Foundation.

Every graduate of the program is given the opportunity to apply for the scholarship. An essay is part of the application process. Stowe explained that she gained confidence by completing RCC’s High School Equivalency program and that she values the opportunity to continue her education at RCC. The program is challenging but allowed Stowe to be flexible and work at her own pace. Instructors describe Stowe as a compassionate, creative person who is driven to succeed.

The High School Equivalency program is a part of RCC’s College and Career Readiness Program. All classes are free and are offered on the RCC Campus, in locations throughout Rockingham County and online. Both day and evening options are available. Call 336-342-4261 for more information.

At RCC you can start local and go far.
